Buttock Augmentation

Buttock augmentation is an operation for men or women who do not have adequate gluteal muscles, lack buttock fat, or simply desire more profile in the buttock area. The buttocks are augmented with the use of silicone implants specifically designed this area or with your own body fat, if possible.

The implants are made from solid silicone, the same material as used in nasal, cheek, or chin implants. This implant is more resistant to wear and tear than a gel or saline filled type of implant used in breast augmentation. You will be measured at your pre-operative visit for the size and shape implant that will fit your individual needs.

To have fat grafting for buttock augmentation, you must have an adequate amount of existing body fat, say in the flanks, back, thighs, abdomen, arm, etc. to harvest for use in butt augmentation. When fat is transplanted into areas such as the buttocks, your body will naturally absorb some of that fat and your augmentation results will be lessened. With this procedure, fat necrosis or absorption is reported to be minimal.
